I have a hard time getting started. Rarely do I write without first wasting at least an hour of time checking my e-mail, getting lost in Wikipedia chains, looking up deals online, reading blogs, etc. So, I have to plan at least three hours if I&#39;m going to write. If I start at 10 p.m., I&#39;ll shut off the computer between 1 and 2 in the morning.<br /><br />During the summer, I actually get some of those writing days you describe. My wife (you know her as Liz) and I swap days. Yesterday, she had a day to herself. As long as I forgo any other plans I may have had, I can spend the entire day writing. I don&#39;t mind writing here and there, when I can get the time, but I write faster and better when I devote a whole day.
